Who we are
BEN PCT is the NHS Primary Care Trust of East and North Birmingham and the Carers' Development and Support Service comprises a small friendly team - we are not social workers or nurses but we are experienced Carers Support Offices who are happy to advise and support Carers in their caring role.
What can you expect from the Carers Development and Support Service?
- We listen to your concerns, suggestions or queries.
- We advise and support carers who have a GP within BEN PCT.
- We will refer or signpost to other agencies in order to get carers the most support.
- We will visit you at home when you have health problems or cannot leave the person you care for.
- We work with Adults and Communities and other voluntary agencies to improve services and raise awareness about carers' needs.
If you are caring for a family member, friend or neighbour and feel you are struggling alone, then please do get in touch with us.
We also run five Carers Support Groups in the BEN PCT area - please see our Carers' support group page for more details.
