The Society is a national organisation that exists to help those who suffer from Parkinson’s Disease, to provide information, to sponsor research, and to help those with welfare problems. The Society also supports Carers.

The North Birmingham & Sutton Coldfield Branch
The North Birmingham and Sutton Coldfield Branch offers an exciting programme of events for Carers and cared-for alike.
A warm welcome is extended to all visitors, new members, friends and relatives. Membership of the Society costs £4 and of the Branch £1.
WE MEET EVERY THURSDAY, 1.45 – 3.45pm, AT THE METHODIST CHURCH HALL, SOUTH PARADE, SUTTON COLDFIELD, B72 1QY.
ONCE A MONTH WE HAVE A SPEAKER AND ON OTHER THURSDAYS WE RUN AN EXERCISE CLASS AND TAI-CHI IN ONE ROOM AND A CARERS’ MEETING IN ANOTHER FOLLOWED BY TEA AND A RAFFLE BREAK, THERE IS OFTEN TIME FOR A QUIZ OR SOCIALISING.
WE HAVE ACCESS ALSO TO A SPECIALIST NURSE AND ALSO TO A PARKINSON’S INFORMATION SUPPORT WORKER WHO WILL VISIT PEOPLE WITH PARKINSONS AND ADVISE THEM ON ALLOWANCES, SOCIAL SERVICES AND ANY OTHER PROBLEMS.
WE RUN OUTINGS AND HOLIDAYS FOR MEMBERS, OFTEN TO A WARNERS.
