About Link-Upp (Birmingham)

Link-Upp is a network of individual families where there is a child (aged 0 -25) that has a disability or additional need.  We also network Parent Carer Support groups in the City as well as local voluntary organisations and statutory services where appropriate.

Link-Upp (Birmingham) exists to:

  • promote support groups to parents and carers of disabled children, those with special needs and professionals from statutory and voluntary organisations.
  • provide information sharing and networking for support groups for parents and carers of disabled children and children with special needs.

You will enjoy the full benefit of what Link-Upp has to offer when you become a member.  You will receive a monthly newsletter, receive details of the social events and workshops run by Link-Upp and have access to a central point of contact so you can obtain a wealth of information.  Anyone can join Link-Upp, and membership is free

For further information about Link-Upp please go to our website.

Membership

There are three different categories of membership and Family Membership is the most appropriate for carers.  This category is open to any family member or carer who is over 16 years of age, of a child (25 or under) with additional needs.  Membership is open to those living, working or based in Birmingham.

Each family should nominate one person to be their named member; this person will receive all Link-Upp mailings, have voting rights at the Link-Upp AGM and be eligible to stand for election to the Link-Upp Committee.
