About our Service

Birmingham Pension Service (Local Service) Teams work in the community to provide a face to face service for people aged 60 and above and their Carers.

We work in close partnership with Age Concern at the Birmingham Carers Centre to assist Carers and Older People to access all available Benefits and Allowances.
We can also put you in touch with other services that might help and support you and the person you look after. 

Home Visits

Staff from the Pension Service can visit you at home

They will:
 Help you fill in application forms

          • Carers Allowance
          • Attendance Allowance
          • Disability Living Allowance
          • Pension Credit
          • Housing Benefit / Council Tax

 Check all the information is right (to save you sending forms in the post)
 Answer any questions you have about benefits you are already getting
 Tell you about other services that might help you
