Opening Doors for Carers is an employment service for Carers and former Carers and is part of Crossroads Care (Birmingham and Solihull).  We we are an Organsiation Member of the Institute of Careers Guidance and we provide information, advice and guidance on work and learning opportunities.

Crossroads Care (Birmingham and Solihull) has many years of experience of supporting Carers through its Domiciliary Respite Care service and therefore we can offer a good understanding of the impact of your caring responsibilities.

It does not matter what stage you are at in your journey to employment; it may be that you are wanting to get into employment straightaway or perhaps you would like to take a small step now to help you get a job in the future.

What can you expect from us:

If you register for our service we can arrange to meet you at a venue convenient for you.  Home visits are by negotiation following our first meeting with you.

The Team

The Opening Doors for Carers service is headed by Emma Bytheway who is the Carers Employment Development Manager.  Working with Emma is Carers Employment Advisor, Nancy Khan.
