General Volunteering for Age Concern

Age Concern - Logo

When people volunteer for Age Concern they become part of an innovative organisation that works effectively to provide opportunities for all older people, as well as care for those who need it.

What Opportunities are there?

With a number of different opportunities on offer, most people should find something to suit.  If you volunteer with us, you could find yourself helping with one of the following activities.

      • Administration and general office duties
      • Fund-raising and special events
      • Visiting older people as part of the Home visiting Service
      • Befriending Services
      • Day Centres and Lunch Clubs
      • Driving - drivers are always needed to transport older people to and from our services, to attend appointments and help with the weekly shop.
      • 'Renew You' - a service which provides older people to participate in expressive art sessions that are run by professionals

There is also the opportunity to volunteer on a monthly basis at the Birmingham Carers Centre
