Extend Exercise Class - for the over 50's
About the Extend Exercise Class
The Allens Croft ACTS Project is pleased to provide this activity for the over 50's with the aim of 'keeping you healthy in mind & body'. The class lasts an hour and consists of gentle exercise for strength and balance which will improve general health and well being.
The exercises can be done standing or from a seated position- you do them according to your ability. This exercise regime helps to prevent falls by improving balance and muscle power and it also provides mental stimulation. The exercises are done to music from the 60's, 70's and 80's. The class is lead by Maxine, who has a wonderful sense of humour and will ensure you have a great time.
The class is not exclusively for Carers. Nevertheless, many of those who do attend are Carers and you can be sure to receive a warm welcome.
Caring for someone can leave you feeling tired and jaded - it can be a very stressful role. It is well known that exercise is a great stress reliever and it can also lower the risk of many life-threatening conditions.
So why not come along? The exercise will leave you refreshed and better able to carry out your caring responsibilities.
There is no need to confirm your weekly attendance in advance (although we do ask you to contact us before your first visit - see contact details below*). After your first visit, just turn up and pay when you arrive.
At £2 per session this activity is great value for money.
