Library Services at Home

Who Can Use The Service?
The service is available to residents of Birmingham who are physically unable to visit their local library due to disability, illness, mobility or frailty. The service is also available to carers who are unable to visit their local library due to their individual circumstances.
What Kind Of Service Is Offered?
A member of staff will deliver a monthly supply of books to your home. Careful records are kept of readers' current likes and interests in order to help with the selection.
As well as ordinary print books, we supply the following:
- Large Print Books
- Talking Books (for people with sight difficulties) including Birmingham's Forward newspaper
- Jigsaws
- Magazines (both general interest and specialist titles)
- Community Information (available on request. Please phone for details)
- Recorded music
